The problem
Guest review responses were eating 6-8 hours a week of owner time. Cash position reports across multiple platforms required manual data pulls every Monday. Both tasks were repeatable, both were judgment-based, and both were the kind of work that gets pushed off when ops gets busy.
What we built
Vinny — an AI agent built on Claude Sonnet, communicating through Slack, integrated with Streamline VRS through browser automation. Phase 1 covered automated guest review responses (with human approval gates for sensitive cases) and weekly cash position reports delivered every Monday at 8am.
Stack
- Claude Sonnet via Anthropic API
- OpenClaw orchestration
- Slack for I/O
- Playwright for browser automation against Streamline
- Deployed on AWS Lightsail initially, migrated to a Mac Mini M4 for reliability
Results (90 days post-launch)
- 6.5 hours/week of owner time recovered, redirected to growth and acquisitions.
- 100% of reviews responded to within 24 hours (previously 60% within 72 hours).
- Weekly cash position reports delivered automatically every Monday — zero misses in 90 days.
- Strict read-only access to financial systems — no risk of agent-induced errors.
Why it matters for you
If you operate any business with repeated written communication — reviews, customer service, lead responses — Vinny is the template. We built it for ourselves, ran it for 90 days, then started selling the same architecture to outside clients.
We don't have a portfolio. We have six companies. Vinny is what happens when we build automation for one of them and then sell it as a productized engagement.
